I've been a prose writer my whole life. On a whim I started writing poems in 2015, and three years later I published my first chapbook, Victory Boulevard. Three years after that my second chapbook, Just Another Jack: The Private Lives of Nursery Rhymes, was accepted for publication. I’ve published poems in a variety of journals in which I never expected to find my work, including The Hudson Review and Ploughshares. Sometimes a change of genres can loosen up something that's been tight.
